How AI Works: books your child creates (and actually understands)

Your child is growing up in a world shaped by AI. Most adults struggle to understand, let alone explain how AI works... but your four-year-old doesn't have to.

Our new “Learn about AI” books let children create their own books about the basics of AI. Using a combination of stories and simple explainers, they will teach you both about how AI is used, how it’s being made, and what it can and can’t do.  They still pick the characters or questions they want to answer and shape the book, and by the end they have built something that makes a genuinely complex idea feel natural to them (and you!?).

It is not a lecture. It is a story they made. And they will want to read it again.

127 countries and counting

A quick one we wanted to share. Children in 127 countries have now created stories on Tandem. From London to Dar es Salaam to Khartoum. Same app, same magic, completely different stories every time.

We built Tandem for every child and every family. Seeing that happen for real still stops us in our tracks. 

Meanwhile, our robots are developing a sense of humour

One of our users created a funny story about a digger and... well, look at the mug.

We didn't ask for that, our robots just did it. Honestly, the stories surprise us too sometimes.
